I was wandering through the Notting Hill markets on Friday and couldn't resist the look of these beautiful purple vegetables.... The custard tarts did not live long enough to make it under the lens.

TARTS IN BELEM
Anna and I took the tram to Belem during our visit to Lisbon.
We couldn't resist the custard tarts from the bakery that stakes claim to their invention.
The Cathedral and Monastery of St Jerome was absolutely fabulous too. The natural light illuminating the interior kept me entertained for hours. Also said a few prayers too.
Then it was off to the UNESCO listed Torre de Belem which was built as a fortress but also used as a prison.
On the way we stopped off at the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, a monument celebrating the Portugese explorers such as Vasco De Gama who set sail from the same shore.
On the ground in front of the monument, there is a massive and very beautiful mosaic depicting the routes of Portugese mariners. I was very excited to see the top of Australia!

SNAP SHOTS FROM LISBON
I've had a fabulous week experiencing Lisbon and it's surrounds with my ultimate travel buddy Anna.
Here are some snaps from our exploring and roaming through the barrios of Lisbon.
As you can see I fell in love with the beautiful tiles that adorn the houses and shops. There were so many beautiful details everywhere you look such as the bold patterned fabrics hanging from the balconies in Alfama and the crochet lace in the crumbling windows.
There are also a few trademark dog and car shots.
More shots to come from wanders through Sintra, Belem and Santiago de Compostella.

MILK AND COOKIES
More testing, this time of some smoothies and cookies with tea.
I loved the shot of the empty glass... The very first shot of the subject but one of my favourites.

ANNA'S TEXTILES FROM BUDAPEST
Here they are...... Anna's gorgeous vintage antique textiles.
I had a great time shooting them and now I am totally inspired to make a visit to Budapest to visit the same shop she purchased them in. It is called, funnily enough, 'Anna Antikvitas'. I'll also be up for one of hot baths there too.
Ohhh, I think I've been bitten by the travel bug.
The vases are by the Danish ceramic designer Anne Black and were a wedding present from a lovely friend. Check out some of Anne's jewellery too... it is ab fab!
You can read more about Anna's travels on her blog here.
